NAPLAN Testing 2026
As you will have been made aware our Year 5, 7 and 9 students experienced significant disruption to the start of the NAPLAN testing on Wednesday 11th March. This was as a result of technical difficulties experienced by the National Assessment Platform. ACARA (Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority) has recognised the significant impact that this disruption has caused and apologised to schools affected, of which we were one of many nationwide. ACARA has stated that it will continue to work with states and territories to ensure testing now proceeds according to plan.
Whilst there were still some issues experienced by students yesterday (Thursday12th March), measures were put in place by our teaching and IT team to ensure that completion of the writing test proceeded and students were supported to complete the test to the best of their ability. The schedule for the remaining tests has been amended to reflect the disruption caused on Wednesday 11th March.
