Democracy in Action 2018

In 2018, these Commerce and Business Studies students were sharing toast and muffins at the Library’s ‘Budget Breakfast’ whilst they examined the new federal budget in the daily newspapers. 

At the time these photos were taken, they were still learning about political and financial systems of government. Recently, they will have voted in the 2025 Federal Election having gained their information via digital media. News media has changed dramatically in those few short years. How long is it since any of them handled a physical newspaper?
