University of Wollongong 50th Anniversary 

The University of Wollongong (UOW) is turning 50 – and we’re celebrating with a massive community birthday party, and your school is invited! 

 

Join us on Saturday 15 November at the University of Wollongong for a fun-filled day celebrating 50 years of learning, innovation, and community connection.

 

The event will feature:

  • Interactive activities for kids and families in the IMB Bank Play Zone

  • Delicious food and market stalls

  • Live music and entertainment (featuring Harry O'Brien from Pacific Avenue) 

 

Plus, everyone who registers their interest and attends on the day goes in the draw to win a $250 visa gift card.

2026 Wollongong Aquathon

The much-anticipated MMJ Aquathon returns to Wollongong Harbour on 26 January 2025, marking the very special 25th anniversary. 

 

It’s Illawarra’s favourite community fitness event. All ages can take part in, it’s family friendly, and loads of fun. Events kick off with the popular 5k Blue Mile 5 fun run, then it’s the swim-run fun of multiple aquathon events, kids (6-13’s), with mini, short and long distances for ages13’s and up.

 

You can even split the distance with a mate or family member and tag team. Awesome vibe, safety focused, finisher medals, prizes and give aways, and all out community fun.
