Brooke's Message

Hello Families,

Well… winter has definitely made its entrance—brrrr! I’m never quite ready for those chilly mornings, especially when I’m out in the drop-off loop trying to look warm!

Despite the cold, our students have been bringing fantastic energy to school. Classrooms have been full of learning, creativity, problem-solving, and plenty of smiles. It’s been wonderful to see students continuing to grow in their skills and confidence throughout the term. We’ve also been focusing on strengthening literacy across our staff team, and we’re excited to see how this supports our students’ reading progress.

Our teaching and support staff have also been working tirelessly. I’m fairly certain they run on a mix of coffee, teamwork, and determination! Whatever it is, they continue to do an amazing job supporting our students every day.

A quick note regarding reports—due to Industrial Action, written comments will not be included this semester. Instead, teachers will share student progress during SSG meetings on 26th June 2026. You’ll hear from teachers soon to organise a time.

We’ve loved seeing students get involved in community access, specialist classes, and hands-on learning activities. There have been so many proud moments as students challenge themselves, try new things, and celebrate their successes.

As the weather gets colder, please remember to send students with warm clothing. Our lost property seems to grow at an impressive rate this time of year—jumpers in particular seem to go on their own little adventures! We do have spare uniform available, so please don’t worry if you’re caught short—just send us a message or give us a call.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. We know that school works best when we work together, and we truly appreciate everything you do.

With just a few weeks left in term, we’re looking forward to finishing strong—celebrating achievements and hopefully dodging any more surprise coughs, colds… and missing lunch boxes!

Stay warm, stay well, and thank you for being part of our wonderful school community.

Brooke
