Principal's Report

It is hard to believe that we have reached the end of another busy and successful term. There has been so much happening across both campuses, and I am incredibly proud of everything our students, staff and families have achieved together.
Change Squad
Our Grade 5/6 students recently attended the Change Squad Pitch Event at Yarra Ranges Council, where they had the opportunity to present their ideas for making a positive difference in our community.
One of our students has been selected to work directly with a Change Squad mentor to bring her idea to life, while several other students will be able to progress their projects thanks to the generous support of the community. We were thrilled to receive a $100 donation from Maureen Halit and a further $2,000 from Yarra Ranges Council to drive some of these amazing ideas.
There are some exciting projects on the horizon and we look forward to keeping our community updated as these ideas develop.
School Disco
Last Friday's School Disco was once again a huge success! Our students had an amazing time dancing, playing games and enjoying the fun atmosphere.
A huge thank you goes to our Fundraising Committee for all their hard work in making the event possible. A special thank you to Jodie for her outstanding organisation and for making sure the music kept everyone entertained throughout the evening. From preparing Frog in a Ponds to helping with set up and pack up, we are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed. Events like these are only possible because of the support of our wonderful school community.
Semester One Reports
Student achievement reports for Semester One have been released on Compass this afternoon.
Reports continue to provide important information about student learning attainment; however, full descriptive comments are not included this semester due to industrial action undertaken earlier this term by the Australian Education Union.
We look forward to discussing your child's progress at our Parent-Teacher Conferences, which will be held on Monday 20 July at Warburton East and Wednesday 22 July at Millgrove. Please check Compass to book an interview time with your child's teacher.
As always, if you have any questions regarding your child's learning, please feel welcome to contact their teacher directly.
Trivia Night
A huge thank you to our Fundraising and Event Planning Committee for all the work happening behind the scenes to organise our upcoming Trivia Night, particularly Jodie, who is doing an incredible job coordinating the event. Events like these take a great deal of planning, organisation and dedication, and we are incredibly grateful for the time, energy and enthusiasm our volunteers continue to contribute to our school community.
We are looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic evening of fun, laughter and friendly competition, while raising valuable funds to support our students and school programs. Be sure to check out the flyer and book your table soon — tables are filling fast, so get in quick before they’re all gone!
School Tours
We continue to welcome enrolment enquiries from families seeking a supportive and engaging learning environment for their child.
Tours of both campuses are available throughout the year and provide an excellent opportunity to see our school in action, learn about our programs and meet our dedicated staff. If you know of any families considering their schooling options, we encourage them to contact the school office for further information or to arrange a visit.
As we head into the school holidays, I would like to thank our students, staff and families for another wonderful term. I hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing and well-deserved break, and I look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for an amazing Term 3.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns or feedback, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
