Welcome to Kylie Maher
We are delighted to welcome Kylie Maher to the Mission and Ministry Team as our new Policy, Risk and Assurance Manager.
Kylie brings more than 20 years of experience in governance, risk management, compliance, assurance and policy development across the education, health, aged care, government and for-purpose sectors. She has worked extensively with Boards, executive leaders and Audit and Risk Committees to strengthen governance and support organisations in managing risk and meeting their responsibilities well.
Most recently, Kylie served as Interim Chief Risk Officer and Project Lead with Villa Maria Catholic Homes. She has also held senior roles with the National Heart Foundation, Moore Australia and KPMG, and brings particular expertise in safeguarding governance and child safety.
Kylie comes to the role with an established connection to Kildare Ministries through her previous work as Partner, Governance and Assurance at Moore Australia. Over a three-year period, she provided ongoing risk management, policy and compliance support to Kildare Ministries. This experience enabled Kylie to develop a strong understanding of our mission, values, governance environment and the breadth of our work.
Alongside her significant professional expertise, Kylie brings a strong appreciation of the relationship between governance, stewardship and mission. She is looking forward to working alongside our Trustees, Boards, schools and community works and contributing to strong governance, policy, risk and assurance practices across Kildare Ministries.

Congratulations to Brendan Cahill!
Kildare Ministries warmly congratulates Brendan Cahill, Principal of Brigidine College, Indooroopilly, who has recently received three significant honours recognising his outstanding leadership and contribution to Catholic education and the wider educational community.
Brendan has been named the 2026 RI/MPJP recipient of the Spirit of Catholic Education Award, recognising his outstanding contribution to Catholic education through leadership, service and the strengthening of Catholic identity.
He has also received the 2026 Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) Leadership Award, recognising exceptional educational leadership, innovation and impact beyond an individual’s own school community.
Most recently, Brendan has been named the recipient of the ACEL Queensland Miller-Grassie Award for Outstanding Leadership in Education, which recognises outstanding educational leaders whose achievements demonstrate exceptional merit.
Together, these honours are a fitting acknowledgement of Brendan’s leadership of Brigidine College, Indooroopilly, and the significant contribution he continues to make to Catholic education and the broader educational community.
The Trustees and all within Kildare Ministries congratulate Brendan on these very well-deserved achievements and celebrate this wonderful recognition of his leadership, commitment and service.
