RU OK? DAY

What: Wear a splash of yellow

On Thursday, September 10th PPPS are recognising RU OK? Day, a special day that reminds us to look out for the people around us. It encourages us to ask a simple question, "Are you OK?", and to really listen when someone wants to talk. Sometimes people can have a hard day or be feeling sad, worried, or lonely, and a kind conversation can make a big difference. We can all help by being caring friends, including others, and showing kindness every day. 

Remember, if someone is worried about themselves or someone else, it's always a good idea to talk to a trusted adult who can help. 

To mark the day, we ask if everyone can wear a splash of yellow. If you are stuck for ideas on what to wear, our wonderful house captains are modelling some ideas in the photos below.

Remember anything as simple as a yellow wrist band, headband, scrunchie, hair tie or even a splash of yellow in a t-shirt is a great way to recognise RU OK? Day.
