Father’s Day Stall

Our school community have once again supported our latest whole school activity, with a huge turnout yesterday for our annual Father Day Stall. We had close to 1000 items chosen and purchased. 

Thank you so much to our organisers Laura and Tash, our ten parent helpers on the day and to you our parents for your preparedness to empower your children to do something special for the men in their lives. Happy Father’s Day for Sunday!

Parent Opinion Survey

The 2026 Parent opinion Survey is currently available for completion for any families interested in taking the opportunity to provided feedback to the Department of Education about the performance of our school. The data collected will be analysed by our staff as we seek to acknowledge those doing a great job and make improvements in areas deemed in need of adjustment. 

With our school review scheduled for late next year, these results will be scrutinized before construction of our next strategic plan. Thank you in advance for those who have had time to share their opinions via this forum. 

PPPS Has Talent

Our talent show is entering its final stages with many fantastic performances from our talented students. The crowds have been huge, and it has been great to see so many proud parents and guardians in attendance each week.

Yesterday was the final weekly performance. We have had close to 100 contestants and now the junior school councillors and performing arts teachers have the unenviable task of choosing the top 10 for the finale next Wednesday afternoon at 2pm in the gym. 

We look forward to seeing the final stage of this immensely popular PPPS Has Talent show. 

Literacy and Numeracy Week 

This week staff and students have been celebrating Literacy and Numeracy Week. Each day there has been a literacy or numeracy brain buster to solve. Students had fun searching around the school for twenty images of Mr Whewell and recorded the letter on each image in their passport. Once they had all twenty letters, there was a secret message for them to work out. 

On Wednesday, the school yard was very bright and colourful with students wearing their favourite colour. Each class surveyed the students’ favourite colours and created a graph to display outside their classroom.

Unbelievable Results

Please join me in celebrating the amazing sporting achievements of the Plenty Parklands students this past week. Our school athletics team was the overall winner last week at Meadowglen, with 60 students representing the school with great pride. With eight schools and nearly 300 students in attendance, this is the largest sports event of the year. 

Our PE team consisting of Mr Scanu and Mr Falcone continue to pour so much time into the development of your children and it is unconceivable how well they prepare students to be confident enough to succeed. 

The points ladder saw a top three consisting of: Plenty Parklands 522 points, St Francis 420 points and Mill Park Heights 379 points. Well done all!   

Welcome 2027 Preps  

The first of our school readiness sessions went extremely well today. We had 50 of our new enrolments onsite for an hour of introduction, learning and fun. The students were split across three sessions and met our staff, familiarised themselves with our prep building whilst already beginning to show our school values. 

Mrs Long and the Prep teachers were impressed!
