Year 4 Update

Year 4 Update  

We have had an incredibly action-packed Term 3 in Year 4! From school camp, our art incursion, book day,  athletics, and hoop time days, our students have enjoyed the journey and enriching experiences across the term. In the classroom, students have loved an extensive novel study, ‘His Name Was Walter,’ by Emily Rodda. We are almost finished the book and have loved exploring the mystery, language and exciting plot twists along the way. Students have been thriving in maths, exploring fractions, operations, angles, and mapping, showing an outstanding growth in skills and confidence. Year 4 Phillip Island Camp -  by Chloe Bracebridge

Last week the Year 4 students went to Phillip Island for camp. We had lots of fun! One of our favourite activities we all loved was the giant swing. The giant swing was 18 meters up! Most people were very brave and went to the top but everyone gave a great effort by having a go. The other activity that people also liked was canoeing, nearly everyone got splashed. In canoeing, we played a game called the ice cream game. Otis splashed everyone! In our cabins, we had fun too. Some people were lucky and had big bathrooms. The food was really good and everyone loved the apple juice and cordial. Camp was really fun, we all didn't want it to finish!

Grade 4 School camp had many fun activities. Some of the best were the Circotron and Low Ropes Course. Mya did 31 flips on the circotron! On the low ropes course, we had a lot of challenges but we managed to do all the obstacles. Over the two nights we had trivia and a movie night. We watched Shark Tale on the movie night and had lots of popcorn. Camp was so fun!
