LIBRARY NEWS
“A book is a dream that you hold in your hands.”
Neil Gaiman

The Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge (VPRC) is in full swing, and what an amazing start we’ve had! Thousands of books have already been logged, and it’s been wonderful to see students diving into new stories, discovering favourite authors, and sharing thoughtful reviews along the way.
The excitement around reading has been contagious, keep those reviews coming!
Remember, every book counts! Whether you borrow from our school library, visit your local library, or pick up a favourite from your bookshelf at home, every page you read brings you closer to the challenge.
LEADERBOARD
A shout out to 2W for their incredible logging efforts recently.
As of this newsletter, our students have logged more than 3,000 books, with the following classes and students leading the race to read the most books.

We’re excited to celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime this May with this year’s featured book, Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller! This much-loved annual event brings children all across Australia together to share the joy of reading at the very same time — and we can’t wait to join in.
To help celebrate, we’ve also created a brand-new Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller display in the library. Students are encouraged to stop by, explore the display and see all the previous years books.
We encourage all students to make the most of both the Karoo library and their local public library so there is always something exciting on hand to read and enjoy.
Students and families may also be interested in a special Reconciliation Week Storytime being hosted at Rowville Library on 30th May. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate stories, culture and community through reading together.
