Behaviour Response Process & Reference Guide

Dear Families and Carers,
At Seaford Park, as part of our continued implementation of School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS), we have recently reviewed and updated our Behaviour Reference Guide and Behaviour Response Process.
These documents have been updated as part of our ongoing whole-school work to strengthen consistency in how we respond to student behaviour. They provide staff with a clear, shared framework that supports predictable, fair and consistent responses across the school.
As part of this process, staff reviewed our previous behaviour response and reference charts and provided feedback about what was working well and what could be improved. This feedback helped shape the updated documents so they are clearer, easier to use and better aligned with our current school-wide practices.
Staff have also participated in professional learning focused on responding to behaviour consistently, re-teaching expected behaviours, maintaining student dignity, supporting safety and using restorative approaches where appropriate.
We are sharing these updated documents with families so that parents and carers can also see the processes and language we are using across the school. By having a shared understanding between staff, students and families, we can continue to build a safe, respectful and positive learning environment for all students.
Yours Sincerely
The Wellbeing Team
