Specialist Sports Program: Semester 2 Trials
Western Heights College is pleased to announce that trials for the Specialist Sports Program Semester 2 intake will be held this May.
Families are encouraged to review the flyers below for each program and register their child using the QR code or the links provided. Please note that there is a strict registration deadline, and late applications will not be accepted.

Students who register for Soccer, AFL, Netball, or Basketball trials will be added to a Compass event. Parent/guardian consent is required for travel to and from trial venues. Students without consent will not be permitted to participate. All trial participants will travel with current program students.
Important: Students currently in the mainstream program in Year 7 and 8 who are unsuccessful in SSP trials will automatically be registered to attend the AAP trials on June 2. If you do not wish for your child to be included in this process, please notify Cate.
Selection Criteria into the Specialist Sports Program is based on:
- Program numbers and available positions
- Demonstrated athletic skill and ability
- Academic effort
- Attitude and behaviour
Minimum 90% attendance in mainstream classes

COLLEGE ABSENCE
OPTION 1:
Enter the absence on your Compass parent portal. To do this, press the shortcuts option at the bottom middle of the page, before selecting 'submit attendance note'.
OPTION 2:

*Please leave a message and include date of absence, parent/carer name, student name, reason of absence, and phone number.
OPTION 3:
Email our Attendance Officer Anthe Petrovics - attendance@whc.vic.edu.au
Please include the student's name, year level, date of absence and reason.
If an absence is not reported, you will receive an automated message at 10am the morning of the absence, then a follow up message for you to explain the absence.

Lost Property
Our lost properties are located in the Admin building and Green building.
Please advise your child to check these locations if they have misplaced any belongings.
