Science I Technology I Humanities I General Capabilities
This term’s major Inquiry unit explores how Earth is part of a dynamic system with the Sun and Moon, and its movements create patterns such as day/night, seasons, time, and changes on Earth’s surface.
Students will investigate the Earth’s structure, including the poles and equator, and deepen their understanding of natural phenomena such as eclipses, the seasons, and the phases and movement of the Moon. They will explore how these celestial patterns influence plant growth and seasonal cycles.
In addition, students will examine the importance of soil quality and the impact of erosion on plant life and natural landmarks. This unit will help students make meaningful connections between environmental science and sustainable living practices.
