General Information & Reminders

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to Term 3! We hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing winter break. We have an exciting range of learning experiences planned for the second half of the year and encourage parents and carers to talk with their children about what they are learning in the classroom. As always, if you have any questions or would like to discuss your child's learning, please don't hesitate to contact your child's classroom teacher.

Communication

All communication this term will be sent via Compass. Please check notifications and emails regularly to stay up to date. Compass is where you will find:

• Attendance information (including submitting absence notes)
• Fortnightly school newsletters
• Sports carnivals and event details
• Excursion and incursion information, permissions, and payments
• Whole‑school announcements
• Semester reports  

Homework

The Term 3 Homework grid has been sent out and we were really impressed with the effort that was applied to completing homework tasks during semester one. We encourage parents to discuss the weekly homework grid with your child, and we suggest the use of Matific for extra tasks in numeracy and Literacy Planet for a range of literacy tasks and individualised spelling activities. As a reminder, we ask that the students read for a minimum of 3 nights, and this must be recorded and signed in their diaries. Diaries should be brought to school every day so students can add any weekly spelling focus words into their diaries. The diaries also contain important information that your child needs at school such as their log in details for various applications when using ipads.
