Join Zoos Victoria experts for the 2026 Careers Expo at Melbourne Zoo. This event is recommended for students in Years 9-12 who are interested in exploring different careers in the world of wildlife, conservation, environment, animal welfare, and more.
Hear from expert panel speakers, including a diverse range of zoo specialists, who will share advice and insights into their career pathways.
Date: Thursday 9 July & Friday 10 July 2026
Time: 9.00am – 2.30pm
In addition to a free entry to Melbourne Zoo and career experts, students will also receive:

Discover ACU Events
Discover life as an ACU student at our Melbourne campus – from the state-of-the-art facilities to transport and travel options.
Discover ACU is tailored to courses of interest and gives Year 10 to 12 students an exciting first taste of their dream degree. They will have the chance to chat with current ACU students about what it is like to study in that field and explore their local campus and its facilities.
Students choose a workshop from a range of study areas, which may include nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, education, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, sports and exercise science and lots more.

University of Melbourne – A Day at Melbourne Event
An immersive campus experience for secondary students. Students will have the opportunity to experience university life firsthand through faculty-led sessions, hands-on activities, current student panels and more.

Melbourne Career Expo 2026
The Melbourne Career Expo – taking place from Friday 17 July – Sunday 19 July, is free comprehensive and exciting careers event, encompassing all career opportunities from employment to education and training in the trades, corporate and professional sectors.
