Middle School Semester 1 Learning Conferences 

Semester 1 Learning Conferences will take place in the Middle School on the following dates:

 

Tuesday 26 May          3.50pm - 6.30pm

Wednesday 3 June     3.50pm - 6.30pm

 

An email with a booking link was sent out earlier this week. All interviews will take place on the Middle School campus on Argyle Street.  

 

If you have not yet booked a spot, you can click here to book your Learning Conference times via schoolinterviews.com.au. Students are encouraged to be present during these meetings.

 

Classes and room numbers are listed for each teacher when making a booking and staff will be in the foyer to assist you find your meeting room. A reminder to only make one booking per teacher to assist us accommodate as many families as possible. 

 

Bookings for Learning Conferences will close at 1pm the day before each Learning Conference. If you have any questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the Middle School Office.

Year 7 Connections TMAG/Grote Reber Excursion

As part of our Year 7 Science unit on the sun, Earth and moon, students will participate in an excursion to the Grote Reber Museum and radio telescope at Cambridge. As part of our Deep Time unit in Humanities, students will participate in an excursion to TMAG. Students will leave and be returned to The Friends’ School by bus. 

 

Backhouse and Oats: Friday 22 May        11am - 3.30pm 

 

Students will need to bring personal medication. If you have any questions, please email your child’s Key Teacher. Please note that students should not have lunch orders on this day and should pack recess, lunch, extra snacks and a drink bottle.

Years 7-10 Art Exhibition

Family and friends are invited to view an exhibition of Years 7 - 10 artwork on display in The Farrall Centre. The exhibition will run from Thursday 21 May until Friday 3 July and will be open to visitors during school hours. Please sign in at the Middle School or Primary School Offices.

Years 7-12 SSATIS Cross Country Carnival

The SSATIS Cross Country Carnival is to be held at the Domain - Soldiers Memorial grounds on Wednesday 27 May. Years 7 to 10 students will travel to and from the venue by bus. This will depart from the Argyle Street bus stop at 9.00am and return at approximately 2.30pm. Students will need to bring suitable energy food, a drink bottle and their lunch.

 

We ask that students ensure they are organised to wear the correct sports uniform. Given the time of year, a warm jacket and wet weather gear is highly recommended for this event.

 

Parents are most welcome to attend.

Peter Jones Peace Prize

This writing competition is open to Years 7-10 students.

Entries close at 4pm on the last day of Term 2: Friday 10 July.
