We warmly invite you and your family to join us for a special community breakfast as we celebrate the UN Global Day of Parents. This occasion provides an opportunity to acknowledge and thank the parents, guardians and caregivers in our community for the care, encouragement and support you provide to our students each day. It is also a lovely opportunity to reconnect with friends and families across our community as we reach the halfway point of Term 2.

Students from all campuses will share musical performances throughout the morning, creating a joyful atmosphere as you enjoy freshly prepared BLTs by our VET students, with vegetarian and vegan options also available.

We also extend our thanks to our talented VET students, who will be serving tea, barista coffee, hot chocolate and other beverages throughout the morning.

Families from all Year levels are welcome and tickets are $5 per person, with all proceeds going to Hobart City Mission. Please make sure to book tickets for all attendees, including students, for catering purposes using the button below.

Have Your Say - Better Streets Project

The City of Hobart is working on a project to improve walking, cycling, public transport and to make streetscapes more beautiful. Called a Better Streets project, it has two focus areas:

  • Upper Elizabeth Street - between Federal Street and Augusta Road.
  • Augusta Road - between Elizabeth Street and Greenway Avenue.

The project is currently in Stage 1 engagement, which focuses on:

  • sharing information about the project and past planning work
  • highlighting previous engagement and Council decisions
  • listening to community views, concerns and priorities
  • gathering feedback to help guide any future concept development

Friends' parents and staff are encouraged to share their views by:

  • completing the online survey
  • registering for an online or in‑person information session with the project team
  • sharing what you love about your community through a creative picture or short story.

You can find more details and information about the project on the Better Streets page on Your Say Hobart.
