Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church.

St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parish's ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Dear Families and Friends,

Thank you to all for a wonderful start to the year. During Term One we witnessed students settle in to new classes, learn and follow new routines and make academic progress. We celebrated many things such as our Buddy BBQ, Harmony Day, Whole School Masses and most recently shared the start of the Easter Story with our community.

Peek Into Prep

This year we invite families of children aged 3 or 4 to join us for Peek Into Prep sessions. These seessions offer prospective families a welcoming opportunity to experience our vibrant and nurturing learning environment. Children have the opportunity to engage in activities that will allow them and their familiy member/s a chance to become familiar with our amazing school. If you know any families/ children that would like to know more about St Anthony's please let them know our our Peek Into Prep sessions.

Prayer Spaces

Thank you to all students and staff for their work on our beautiful Easter Prayer Spaces. This has been a wonderful representation of the key events in our Catholic Faith leading up to Easter. Classes, parents and the wider Parish community have visited the spaces, praying and reflecting on the messages behind each moment of the Easter Story.

Building Update

Once again, the builders have been very busy. Bricks have been laid, door spaces cut, windows have started to be placed and the huge storage shed is at lock up stage. I am very pleased with the progress and it is all on track for completion in late July/ early August.

Harmony Day

On Friday March 20th we celebrated Harmony Day with over 150 visitors to St Anthony's. It was a wonderful day filled with the sharing of our cultures, stories and traditions. Harmony Day was such a vibrant celebration of faith, respect and diversity all of which make us stronger and unique at St Anthony's. God has truly blessed our multicultural community.

An Easter Prayer

Dear God,

May we know and feel the love you promised

May we feel your presence, not just during this Easter

But throughout the year.

May our families be blessed this Easter

And may the world feel your peace.

Amen
