Highlights of the Week!

Staff v Students!

Our Staff v Students rivalry returned with action-packed netball and futsal matches in the Sports Hall. Students and staff battled it out in front of a lively crowd, with plenty of skill, competitive spirit and questionable refereeing decisions on display.

Thank you to everyone who played, supported and helped make the events possible.

Careers Program Wrap-Up – Year 10 and Year 12

Our Careers Program for Year 10 and Year 12 students has provided a range of valuable opportunities to support students as they consider their future pathways.

Year 10 Careers Program

Throughout Year 10, students have engaged in a comprehensive career education program designed to build awareness of career options, pathways and future opportunities. This has included parent information sessions, careers expos, lunchtime Lunchbox Sessions, and regular Careers Bulletins providing students and families with information about courses, careers, work experience, apprenticeships and other post-school options.

A key concluding activity for Year 10 has been the SET Plan interviews, providing students with the opportunity to reflect on their interests, strengths and goals and consider their subject choices and future pathways. These conversations have been particularly valuable in helping students make informed decisions as they move into the senior years and choose their subjects that reflect their pathway.

Year 12 Careers Program

For our Year 12 students, the focus has been on supporting their transition beyond school. Students have had access to post-school pathway information, university and careers opportunities, apprenticeships, career sessions, expos, Careers Bulletins and individual pathway conversations. The Year 12 Post-School Interviews have provided students with an opportunity to discuss their options for 2027 and receive personalised advice about their next steps.

It has been wonderful to see the engagement of students and families throughout these programs. These sessions highlight the importance of school, students and parents working together to support our young people as they make decisions about their future. By providing opportunities for open conversations, access to information and individual guidance, we can help students feel more confident and prepared to pursue pathways that align with their interests, strengths and aspirations.

Food Drive with FareShare

Our school community came together for this year’s FareShare Food Drive, generously donating an incredible 370 kilograms of essential food items. These donations will help FareShare prepare nutritious meals for people experiencing hardship across our community.

Thank you to every student, family and staff member who contributed to this fantastic cause.
