Student Leadership Conference

Our 2025 student leaders gathered at the MCC Pavilion on Thursday 27 February for an engaging Student Leadership Conference. Here's what some of them had to say about the event.
The Leadership Conference was a great opportunity for all of the leaders at our wonderful school to collaborate and learn from each other, our wonderful teachers, and our wonderful guest speaker, who was there to share tips about leadership. The main take away from the conference was: "How can we create a community that our people and members want to be a part of." I was grateful to be a part of the conference and am looking forward to the next one. A special thank you to Mr Ardi, Miss Hunter-Smith and Nel for running and organising the event.
Mr Ardi and Miss Hunter-Smith, thank you both for organising and running the Student Leadership Conference—I learned a lot from it. I don't have any feedback for you other than to say please keep doing what you are doing by helping students at this school to have a voice and have ways to reach out. Your work towards the leadership and student voice of our school is greatly appreciated.
Parshan N, Year 9
I loved brainstorming and breaking down ideas for 2025 alongside the amazing year-level leaders. It was great to see everyone get involved and express their opinions. It definitely got me excited for the year ahead and for what we can accomplish as a team. Loved it!
Valentino B, Year 12
I enjoyed collaborating with my peers and listening to their ideas. In addition, I enjoyed creating a timeline for our future projects with my peers to improve our school. Thank you so much, Mr Ardi and Miss Hunter-Smith, for organising the Leadership Conference. We all really enjoyed it and can't wait to attend others.
Garion L, Year 7
I think everyone worked incredibly well together. We all listened to each other and contributed our input to ideas. I don’t think there was much to improve.
