Principal's Report

It was wonderful to see our new families embracing the world of ICT at BSC last week, both onsite and virtually. Platforms such as Microsoft Teams, OneNote and Compass are integral to our teaching and learning, as well as assessment and reporting at the college. Special thanks to Deb Kirk for organising these invaluable sessions.
Our staff were delighted to connect with families at the recent Year 7 & 8 'Meet the GOAL Mentor' and VCE 'Meet the Year 12 Teacher' sessions. Your active participation underscores your commitment to your child's education, and we sincerely appreciate your ongoing support.
Our annual House Swimming Carnival, expertly coordinated by Mr Pinto, was once again a resounding success. Congratulations to all participants and best of luck to those advancing to Divisionals.
Thank you to Mr Ardi and Ms Hunter-Smith, our Student Engagement and Voice team, for orchestrating an engaging Student Leadership Conference for our 2025 leaders. Our student representatives have already demonstrated remarkable initiative and promise as ambassadors of our college. It was wonderful to have student leaders from local primary schools also in attendance at this event.
As we approach International Women's Day on March 8, 2025, we celebrate the invaluable contributions of women worldwide and within our community. At Beaumaris, we are committed to empowering our female students, staff and supporters in all areas.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent School Council election. Your involvement is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to working with our 2025 School Council to continue strengthening our college. A full list of our 2025 School Council members can be found here.
Please note the following student-free days for Term 1:
- Monday 10 March: Labour Day public holiday
- Thursday 3 April: Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences (11am – 7pm)
Enjoy the upcoming long weekend, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for classes on Tuesday 11 March.
