Update on Helen
Hi everyone, just wanted to give you all an update on how Helen is going. She’s doing really well and has now had four out of her eight chemo sessions. There have been a few hiccups along the way, but overall, things are looking really positive.
The best news is that her recent scans showed the cancer cells have shrunk — in some areas by half! Such a huge relief and definitely something worth celebrating.
Alongside her chemo sessions, Helen has also been having immunotherapy. This treatment helps her body locate any cancer cells that may be hiding. It's estimated that she'll need 21 treatments, which is what we are fundraising for. Each treatment costs around $10,000, and she has already ticked off four.
To make things a bit easier, she’s had a portacath, which means no more needles every time she has treatment. This device allows healthcare providers to administer treatments and draw blood without repeated needle sticks, making the process more comfortable and efficient.
Thanks so much for all the love and support you’ve been sending Helen’s way — it means the world to her and her family. 💕
