State School Spectacular Dancers visit Waterford Valley

On Tuesday 31st October the State School Spectacular Mass Dance students put their dancing shoes back on and visited Waterford Valley Lakes Retirement Village.

The 15 Year 5 students performed all 8 of their dances and Mrs Hoffmann, Miss Moyle and Miss Wild are so proud of the how well the students danced and interacted respectfully with the residents. The residents were so grateful that Karoo came to perform that they put on a surprise morning tea for us! It was fascinating for the students to listen to the stories and feedback from the residents.

“It was really fun and I enjoyed it. I missed the two training sessions before the day but I still remembered the moves (even though we hadn’t dance for a month!) The residents were all very happy and joyful and it was fun when they danced with us at the end. I loved hearing their stories about their families.” – Taylor
