Junior School

Congratulations to all Junior School families and students on reaching the end of Term 2!
We are incredibly proud of the focus and growth you have demonstrated throughout the first two terms of 2026 at Doncaster Secondary College. Thank you to the families who continue to partner with us in our shared mission to develop healthy, resilient, and positive young people.
Celebrating Achievement
We love celebrating student success at the end of every term. As we prepare for our Celebration Assemblies this Friday, we look forward to recognising students across the categories of: Commitment to Improve, Living the Values, Maximum Effort, Readiness to Learn, and Excellent Attendance.
Looking Ahead: Term 3
We are excited about the opportunities awaiting us in Term 3, particularly our Alternate Program Day in Week 2. This day will focus on exploring careers and subject pathways for 2027. Students are encouraged to come dressed as their future career aspirations, with prizes awarded for standout efforts! We will be complete subject selection processes in week 4 of term 3.
Preparing for a Healthy Holiday
As part of our Managing Me program this week, students have been exploring how to plan for a healthy, restorative holiday. The break is an essential opportunity to rejuvenate so that we are ready for the growth and success that Term 3 brings.
We encourage families to discuss routines and habits over the next two weeks that will enhance wellbeing. While we know technology plays a part in downtime, we also know that significant screen time is not the best way to prepare the brain for learning. We encourage a balance of:
- Physical activity and time outdoors.
- Social connection with friends and family.
- Adequate sleep and a healthy, balanced diet (with the occasional treat, of course! 😊).
Thank you for your ongoing support. Please have a safe, restful, and rejuvenating break. We look forward to continuing our learning journey together in Term 3.
