Sports Day 2025
AIM HIGH
What an incredible day we had celebrating the 65th Anniversary of Lockleys North Primary School with our Sports Day! The atmosphere was filled with excitement, colour, and community spirit as students, staff, families, and even past scholars came together to enjoy this special milestone event.
A huge thank you to Amy, David, and Jaymee for their dedication, creativity, planning/organisation and efforts in helping to make the day run so smoothly. Your support behind the scenes and on the ground was invaluable. A special well done to our Sports Committee, whose commitment and teamwork ensured the success of such a large event.
It was wonderful to see so many families out cheering, picnicking, and encouraging our students. Equally heart-warming was welcoming back former students, whose connection to our school community continues to inspire the current cohorts.
We extend our congratulations to all four teams Brian, Grallina, Malurus, and Pierson for their excellent sportsmanship throughout the tabloids, their commitment on the track, and their constant chanting and encouragement of peers across the school. The energy and positivity throughout the day truly reflected the spirit of LNPS. Students were demonstrating our school values, and were able to maintain a respectful level of competitiveness throughout the events.
Finally, a big congratulations to Brian House for securing victory in 2025! Your determination and effort were outstanding, and you should be very proud of this achievement. Brian performed very well through the tabloids where they racked up many of their points, and then pulling in an additional 1200 points through the sprints catapulted them to the lead and they managed they hold out against a very strong and competitive team Grallina.
Here’s to another 65 years of community, teamwork, and celebration at LNPS!

We also want to acknowledge our Year 6 Sports Day hosts, Tara Bendys and Ethan McCulloch. Their confidence, clarity, and ability to lead out through such a large event was outstanding. They spoke with maturity and warmth, exemplifying exactly why they were chosen to lead the day as hosts. Well done Tara and Ethan - you should be so proud of your efforts!
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the parents who generously gave their time and energy to support our Bake Sale in the library and the BBQ. From baking and donating goods, to cooking on the grill and serving with a smile, your efforts not only fed the crowd but also brought such a warm and welcoming feel to the day. It is this spirit of service and generosity that strengthens our school community. We encourage families to consider getting involved next year! You’ll find it’s a wonderful way to connect, contribute, and be part of the memories we create together.
