Connor's Run

Fun on the Run!

On Sunday the 14th of September, students, parents and teachers of OPS ran Connor's Run - a charity fun run created to raise money for paediatric brain cancer.

Connor's Run has been running (no pun intended) for over 10 years and was created by the Dawes family whose eldest son was diagnosed with the condition at just 17 years old. Connor was a rower who ran from his house to the boatsheds on the Yarra, hence the route of Connor's Run.

Connor’s Run has evolved into Australia’s biggest event for paediatric brain cancer with thousands of young runners now participating in the event. This year, Ormond Primary School's inaugural team raised over $1100 towards the organisations fundraising total.

We are incredibly proud of the students who ran either on Sunday or in their own time for the event.

Thank you to the parents and families of Ormond Primary School who supported the event or ran on the day, as well as a massive shoutout to our teachers for running.

We look forward to continuing Ormond's participation in the event for years to come.
