Wellbeing Team
At our school, student wellbeing and inclusion are supported through a collaborative team approach. Together, we work closely with students, families, carers and staff to help every child feel connected, supported and successful at school.
Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader – Andy McNeilly
Andy works proactively with students, families and staff to support positive mental health and wellbeing across the school community. His role includes
- Building staff capacity around:
- identifying mental health concerns
- understanding what to do when concerns arise
- preventative and early intervention strategies
- Working closely with students, parents, carers and teachers
- Providing professional learning opportunities for staff
- Collaborating closely with the Inclusion Leader
- Liaising with external agencies in both proactive and reactive ways
- Running parent and carer workshops
Supporting strong, connected relationships between students, families and staff
Inclusion Leader – Ryan Baltetsch
Ryan supports students with diverse learning and wellbeing needs and helps embed inclusive practices across the school. His role includes:
- Applying for funding through the Disability Inclusion model
- Coordinating Student Support Group meetings
- Supporting Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Developing social stories and behaviour support strategies
- Building teacher capacity
- Coordinating social skills groups and lunchtime clubs
- Supporting curriculum modifications and reporting adjustments
- Coordinating Education Support staff and aides
- Improving school spaces to become more inclusive
- Conducting observations and diagnostic testing
- Referring students to Student Support Services including psychologists, speech pathologists and social workers
- Working closely with allied health professionals including occupational therapists and psychologists
Regularly checking in with students and families
Chaplaincy – Rhonda Stubbings
Rhonda provides social and emotional support to students and families across the school community. Her role includes:
- Running wellbeing workshops for Year 3 and 4 students
- Supporting senior students through small group programs
- Working with parents, carers and staff
- Helping students build confidence, resilience and positive relationships
Providing a caring and supportive presence within the school community
