Boambee Public School Shines at the 2025 Regional Spelling Bee Final

We are thrilled to share the outstanding achievements of our talented spellers at this year’s 2025 Regional Spelling Bee Final. Representing Boambee Public School with pride and determination were Eli Heather from Stage 2 and Ezra Keipert from Stage 3.

Eli demonstrated great skill and composure, advancing through the rounds to reach the 4th stage of the competition. His impressive performance was a wonderful display of hard work and dedication.

Ezra Keipert amazed us all by making it to the 8th round and ultimately winning the competition! His exceptional spelling abilities and calm focus under pressure earned him the top spot. We congratulate Ezra on this fantastic accomplishment and are proud to announce that he will now represent Boambee Public School at the State Spelling Bee. The state event will be held in Penrith on November 7th, where we know Ezra will continue to make us proud.

Family Challenge: Can You Spell These Words?

To celebrate the achievements of Eli and Ezra, we challenge our Boambee families to try spelling some of the words they encountered in the competition. How many can you get right?

  • tale
  • balm
  • cyberspace
  • chasm
  • casket
  • intrinsic
  • arthropod
  • perpendicular
  • polystyrene
  • bureaucracy
  • residual
  • negotiate

Good luck, and remember—spelling is a superpower!

Congratulations again to Eli and Ezra for their hard work and success. We look forward to cheering Ezra on at the State Spelling Bee in November!

Regards,

Nathan Pike.

Premiers Debating Challenge

Go Boambee Debating Team!

Recently Boambee Public School debated against Yamba Public School in the first Regional Finals of the Premier's Debating Challenge. The topic of the debate was 'All schools should make high achieving students assist a struggling peer one afternoon each week'. Our Boambee team were debating the affirmative side. Through their well planned, persuasive arguments and responsive rebuttals our team won and will now be continuing on. Well done!
