PFA Update

Nadine Power, PFA President

Welcome to our families

Welcome to our returning and new families for the 2024 school year. I hope you've all had a chance to recharge and have some fun over the holiday break and are settling well into Term 1.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Parent Welcome Morning Teas last week. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the start of the school year and mingle with other parents from each cohort and across the School.

We have many PFA events planned for the year and a wide variety of ways in which parents can get involved. From volunteering as a class social representative (CSR), helping at the secondhand uniform shop (SHUS) or flipping some sausages at a PFA event, there is something for everyone. Best of all, it’s loads of fun, and helps to maintain the wonderful school community Kilvington is known for. A list of all the current volunteer opportunities is available here

There is always a lot going on, so please reach out if you have any questions, ideas or feedback to Bianca Lapins, Community Relations Officer,  via lapinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au.

ELC and Junior School Welcome Picnic

All ELC and Junior School families are warmly invited to join a picnic on The Green on Friday 15 March from 5.00 to 7.00pm.

It’s a great opportunity to catch up with friends and make some new ones! The PFA will be hosting a complimentary sausage sizzle. Please BYO drinks, snacks, picnic, rug/chairs and hats.

Please RSVP for the picnic here

If you would like to find out more, please contact Nadine Power via npower1616@gmail.com

CSRs

Thank you to all those who have already volunteered to be a Class Social Representative (CSR) for your cohort this year. The first meeting will be held on Wednesday 28 February in the Conference Room from 7.30 to 8.30pm.

There are still spaces available for some year levels, so if you would like to join the CSR team, please sign up here. We encourage more than one CSR per year level – the more the merrier!

SHUS

A big thank you to the amazing SHUS team for the first opening held last Saturday.

We are looking for new volunteers to help out, so if you have some time free on a Saturday morning or would like to know more, please contact Nadine Power via npower1616@gmail.com. The team is extremely knowledgeable and enjoy many laughs and friendships together.
