Last Book Club for 2026

Last week your child should have brought  home the latest Scholastic Book Club Catalogue.  If you don’t have a catalogue and would like one, please come to the library and collect one.  This will be the last Book Club for 2026. It is an ideal time to stock up on any books that you might need for gifts, or for your child to read during the holidays. Books make great stocking fillers!

Book Club orders will close on Monday 19th October @ 9.00am. Please remember all Book Club orders need to be placed online.  Follow the instructions in the catalogue.

We appreciate all your support this year.  We have added $700 worth of books to our library using the rewards earned when you order books.  Thank you very much for supporting the library in this way.  It ensures that our library has beautiful up-to-date books.

Northern Royal Albatross & Peregrine Falcons

We have been watching, in the library, a live stream of a Northern Royal Albatross chick since the beginning of the year.  This chick fledged at the end of Term 3 and is now heading across the ocean to Chile and Argentina.  He will return to New Zealand in about four years time.  We are all wishing him a safe journey.

We are now watching the Peregrine Falcons that are nesting at 367 Collins Street, Melbourne.  This is also a live stream via YouTube.  The falcons are the same adult birds as last year, and this year they laid four eggs. All eggs successfully hatched beginning on 1 October.  We are now watching four very cute fluffy white chicks growing quickly.  We are also reading and learning all about these very special Melbourne Peregrine Falcons.
