St Martha's Catholic Primary School
A Message from the
Acting Principal
Mr Steven Belcastro
Lord,
as we begin our new term,
make us ready, attentive and available to hear you.
Thank You for the gift of being able to rise each day
with the assurance that You walk through it with us.
Thank You for the gifts of creativity and uniqueness,
and the energy to put them to good use.
May the work we do and the way we do it,
bring new hope, new life,
and courage to all we come in contact with this term.
We thank you, Lord.
Amen
Dear Parents,
It was wonderful to welcome everyone back for the start of Term 4. I can tell from the children that they enjoyed the break and the opportunity to spend time with their families.
For some families this is the last term of their child’s first year at school and for others their final term at St. Martha’s as they prepare to transition to new schools.
Term 4 is always a busy term. As Advent and Christmas fast approaches we all get busier and time quickly passes by. In the ensuing chaos try to find the time to reflect on the year that has been and enjoy the final months of the 2026 school year.
As always our school is a busy place with so many wonderful learning activities for the children to enjoy. Please read the 'Dates to Remember' page and the curriculum notes on the next page to see some of the events and learning opportunities that our students will be engaged in this term.
In coming weeks, teachers will begin the process of considering children for their 2027 classes. This is a well thought out process based on academic, social, and emotional needs. Children are also given the opportunity to nominate friends for their class, and we ensure that at least one friend is with them in their 2027 class.
If you have a concern or request to make in relation to your child’s class placement for 2027 that is based on your child’s specific educational needs, please address this to me in writing (via email: info@stmstrathfield.catholic.edu.au) by Friday 6 November. Every consideration will be given to requests made that are based on student well-being.
Thank you in advance for trusting the staff to make careful, considered decisions and be guided by the expertise and advice of your child’s current teacher as to what is best in an educational context for your child.
As we begin setting classes for 2027, if you are moving your child/ren to another school for 2027, please make us aware of this as soon as possible as we have enrolment inquiries from new families for 2027.
The National Children's Week 2026 theme is based on Article 30 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC): "Children have the right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practise their religion" The focus is on celebrating children's talents, skills, achievements, rights, and enjoyment of childhood, while supporting inclusive practice and social cohesion in education and care settings.
Happy Children’s Week!
Please see below information regarding 2027 school fees.
