Mini Vinnies
This month we are excited to begin Mini Vinnies 2026 at St Luke’s.
Mini Vinnies is a voluntary initiative for students in Years 4 - 6 who are interested in learning more about social justice and finding simple, practical ways to care for people in our local community and the wider world. Students give up some of their own playtime to meet, talk, plan and support fundraising or awareness initiatives throughout the year.
Our Mini Vinnies students will be commissioned at Mass on Friday 29 May at 9:15am at St Luke’s, where they will receive their badge and read their pledge. We look forward to seeing this wonderful group of students put their faith into action.
Professional Development Day - A day with Scripture
On Monday 27 April, staff took part in a professional development day with guest speaker Dr Lynn Moresi, who led us in exploring ways to bring Scripture alive for ourselves and for our students. Lynn invited us to engage with Scripture using both our heads and our hearts, deepening our contextual understanding while also allowing space for the Holy Spirit to speak to us through the Word.
It was an enriching and inspiring day with time for us to reflect, pray, discuss and delve into Scripture together. We are grateful for this valuable opportunity to deepen our own faith and continue strengthening the way we share Scripture with our students.
