Hardship Supports

Below is a reminder of supports available to families:

  • CSEF (Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund)

    Provides $400 per eligible student (Health Care Card required) to support camps and activities. Please contact the office for details or click the link here.

  • Conveyance Allowance

    Government funding that can be used to offset travel to school. We have to be your closet school, but at least 3km away. Please contact the office for details or view the form.

  • State Schools’ Relief

    Access to essential clothing items including shoes, polos, pants, jumpers, underwear, swimwear, jackets and more. Please see the office for support or click the link here

  • Home Food Pack

    We are able to order a small number of home food packs from foodbank. These food packs include Vitabrits, long life milk, cans of beans and spaghetti, fruit cups and a few other snack items. If you would like us to order a food pack, please speak with the office.

  • Uniform Support

    Vouchers are available for use at our uniform shop—please speak with the office.

  • Breakfast Club

    Breakfast is available before school, supported by parent volunteers. If you are able to volunteer, please contact the school.

Visitors to the school

  • All visitors to the school must sign in at the office. This is to ensure we have an accurate record of who is onsite at any time for OHS, Child Safe and Emergency Management processes.
  • This includes volunteers for Breakfast Club and other activities at the school and  parents dropping items off 

Working with Children checks for volunteers

  • All volunteers at school are required to have a current Working with Children check.
  • If you volunteer at school please provide a copy to the office.

Attendance Information

Students arriving late at school (after 9.00am)

  • All students arriving late at school must sign in at the office and collect a late pass to give to their teacher before going to class.
  • This is to ensure the school has accurate record of student attendance for the reasons listed above.
  • The school has a legal responsibility to accurately record attendance.

     

Students departing school prior to 3.30pm

  • Any students departing prior to 3.30pm must be signed out at the office

     

Student absences

  • Parents are requested to advise the school of an absence on the day of the absence. Notifications can be made via Compass. 
  • Parents will receive an automated SMS notification for unexplained absences, this may be followed up by a check-in call from the office
