Principal's Update

Hello everyone,

It has been a big week here at Taradale Primary School.

Thank you for all of your support following the sad news of Lee-Anne's passing. Over the past week, students, staff and families have shared many wonderful memories and stories as we remember a much-loved member of our school community. The care and kindness shown by our community during this difficult time has been greatly appreciated.

Lee-Anne's funeral will be held on Friday 12 June. All staff will be attending the service. A small number of casual relief teachers and a member of the department of education will be onsite to supervise students who need to attend school. However, this capacity is limited, and the usual learning program will not be running on this day.

Cross Country

Congratulations to Harper and Levi, who represented Taradale Primary School at the North-west Regional Cross Country Championships on Tuesday 2 June. Competing against students from across the Loddon Mallee region, both students should be incredibly proud of their achievement. Qualifying for this level of competition is no small feat, and we congratulate them on their effort, determination and sportsmanship.

The wet weather has certainly arrived this week, and the students have been making the most of it! There has been plenty of puddle jumping and muddy adventures around the school grounds. If possible, it is a great idea to pack a spare set of clothes, particularly socks, so students can stay comfortable if they happen to get a little wetter than intended.

Upcoming Dates

Year 5/6 Visit to CSC

When: Tuesday 9th June

Venue:  Castlemaine Secondary College

Our Year 5 and 6 students will be attending Castlemaine Secondary College to participate in a range of learning activities and classes.

Even if your child is not planning to attend Castlemaine Secondary College in the future, this is still a valuable opportunity to visit a secondary school, experience different learning environments and begin thinking about the transition to secondary education.

Students will travel by bus, departing at approximately 10:00am and returning to school by 1:00pm. The event will be published on Compass shortly. There is no cost associated with this excursion.

Other Upcoming Events

A few important dates for the remainder of the term:

Breakfast Club Volunteers

We are seeking additional volunteers to help run Breakfast Club each morning from 8:30–9:00am.

Taradale Primary School participates in the Foodbank Victoria Breakfast Club program, which provides food at no cost for students. While all students are welcome, we rely on volunteers to make this possible.

If you are able to assist or would like more information, please contact the office.

OSHC (Out of School Hours Care)

OSHC is available after school each day.
