LANGUAGE CENTRE

A big welcome to our Language Centre students! Our class includes students from Korea, Vietnam and China. With a group of 10 teachers and Ms Lawton, Ms Ho and Ms Luong directly supporting them, they have had a great start to their time at Brighton. Please continue to welcome our students into our school.

Lunar New Year Celebration

To celebrate Lunar New Year and welcome all our new International students, Ms Lawton, Ms Ho and Ms Luong organised a delicious feast and celebration, for 2025. The room was beautifully decorated in red, representing  fortune, luck and vitality. Students participated in a quiz, winning a range of prizes, and Mr Trytell and Ms Whiteman faced off in a test of their wonderful skills in speaking Chinese. All students in attendance received a red envelope with treats inside, a sign of good wishes and luck for the year ahead.

Thanks to Go Go Dumpling, in South Road, Moorabbin, staff and students were spoilt with a range of foods, including delicious dumplings, stir fries and rice. It was a wonderful way to welcome our new members of our school community, and celebrate an important time in the calendar.
