Cross Country Results

Congratulations to all students who gave it their best at our schools cross country trial on Monday 23rd February. We were so impressed with the effort and  sportsmanship displayed on the day. This venue offers students an opportunity to challenge themselves with quite a steep hill part of the running path.

The day would not have been possible without our parent  volunteers, teachers and sport captains who contributed to the days success. Students who came 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th and who met the qualifying time have been invited to compete at the Sydney Cross Country Championships on 12th May at Sydney Motor Sports Park. Athletics Carnival 2-6

Gallery Image

Our Athletics Carnival is fast approaching. After having a thorough read of the document and if your child is competing in any timed/measured events, please fill out which specific events they will trial for using the Timed/Measured Event Registration Form which will close on Friday 6th March. If your child is participating in some or all of the grade events, you do not need to fill out any forms as stated in the information attached. All other details for the carnival can be found in the document below.

JERSEY UPDATE

Students who receive a jersey for any upcoming trial, gala day or interschool sport will be recorded as proof of this borrowing method. This will allow our school to continue to use these jerseys and have enough for all students to wear and represent our school proudly at the many sporting events we provide to all students. Once jerseys are washed and returned to the school office, our staff will mark that the jersey has been returned. Any jerseys not returned will incur replacement fee.

Please check the wardrobes at home and return any jerseys of any style (singlet, soccer jersey or footy jersey) which belongs to the school. Thank you for the cooperation with this matter.

Interschool Sport

Compass events have been created for Year 4 interschool sport on Wednesday 25th March. Please ensure you provide permission for your child to attend this event. Below is an outline of all interschool sport across all grades for 2026.

Below is a document for the Stage 3 level 1 interschool sport and how to trial for the team. Please note the note has been amended with a new trial date for level 1 oz tag due to the announcement of the additional public holiday. Please see the below note attached.

Sporting Schools Coach

Starting from Tuesday we have a qualified coach coming to teach athletics on Tuesdays and Thursdays targeting our Year 6, Year 2, Year 5 and Year 4 classes. We are very excited to get underway as our athletics carnival is very fast approaching. We can't wait to see the skills the children develop over the course of the program. Miss Devlin will follow suit with the coach and teach athletics to those students who don't have sport on those days.

Shark Blitz

Last week we had 3 sharks players come to our school and run a presentation for our year 3 students.

Upcoming Representative Trials

Thank you to those students who have trialed across various sports for this calendar year trials. Trialists were gathered based on the nominations received and those students who missed the opportunity were able to display their resilience and congratulate those who were selected. Details will be shared via compass and a paper note for any student attending a conference trial or beyond.
