Principal's Report

Dear families,

 

THANK YOU

Many thanks to Lillith and River who volunteered to spend their lunch time assembling our five new office chairs. It is a pleasure to have such helpful students in our school.

 

150 YEARS CELEBRATION

On Sunday the 150 Years Community Committee met to discuss preparations for the celebration on 20th April. Outlined below is draft agenda for the day.

 

 Saturday 20th April

12.30pm – BBQ lunch available

1.00pm – Official Registration starts

2.00pm – MC Sam Birrell Federal Member for Nichols opens official agenda

  • School Council President/Principal welcome
  • Outline of School History
  • Invite Pat Bathman and Jep Ferguson to unveil plaque.
  • Planting of tree – Sam Birrell
  • Time Capsule – Invite anyone with items to include to come forward.
  • Cutting of cake. 

2.30pm Invite attendees to take a guided tour of the school with current students

3.00pm Toolamba Wrens CWA Afternoon tea in the Community Centre.

5.30 Close and adjourn to Junction Hotel 

 

Sunday 20th April

Lions Community Breakfast at the Community Centre, Sunday morning commencing at 8.30am. There will be a coffee van in attendance.

 

LOCAL BUSINESSES

We are inviting any businesses or people who have a hobby that they have turned into a business opportunity to set up a stall in or near the Community Hall on Saturday 20th. 

 

HELP WANTED

On the Saturday afternoon the Parents and Friends will be manning a drink stall. The school is responsible for cooking the BBQ. We would love some volunteers to help on the day. If you can assist please contact the school. 

 

PARENTS AND FRIENDS CLUB

Thank you to all those who attended our AGM on Monday night. Congratulations to our officer bearers for 2024.

EASTER RAFFLE

The first fundraiser for the year is an Easter Raffle. Donations can be sent to the school. Proceeds from the raffle will go towards badminton equipment for the school. See the Parents & Friends page for more detail.

 

JSC FUNDRAISER COLOURS DAY WEDNESDAY 27th MARCH 

 

The JSC is holding a dress up to raise money for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. The theme for the day is colour. Students are encouraged to dress up for the day in just one colour, or any many colours as they like. Normal footwear for the day. A gold coin donation for the day would be appreciated for the appeal.
