Attendance

Regular school attendance is vital for student success. Everyday counts, and missing school means missing out on important learning opportunities. Consistent attendance helps students stay engaged, achieve better academic outcomes and build strong social connections. However, if your child is sick, it is important that they stay home to rest and recover, and to prevent the spread of illness to other students and staff. If your child needs to be absent, I kindly ask that you inform the school.

World of Maths

World of Maths features hand-made physical tactile activities designed to teach mathematical concepts to students through hands-on problem-solving and team collaboration. All students from Foundation to Year 11 took part in the sessions, that involved the students working in small groups and working as teams to explore and discover mathematical concepts. Our students embraced the opportunity, in many cases, showing great perseverance, determined to stick at a task until they solved it.

Australian Mathematics Competition

Throughout the week we have had high performing students from Years 4 to 11 take part in the Australian Mathematics Competition. Each of the students tackled 30 problem-solving questions, designed to test mathematical thinking rather than routine school curriculum. All students who participated, displayed great resilience and approached each question in a positive manner. Always many conversations about what and how following the sitting. Congratulations to all those selected and well done on your efforts.
