Principal's Perspective

Dear Parents and Carers,
The past week was particularly busy with many families attending parent teacher interviews. A very big thank you to parents and carers for taking time to attend the sessions to discuss the learning progress of your child/ren. We hope that you found the conversation with your child’s teacher to be informative, providing you with an understanding of their semester one achievements and the direction or goals for semester two.
Thank you also to our classroom teachers for their time in preparing for these sessions and the work that they do in the classroom every day.
Our prep students have done amazing work so far and last week celebrated 100 days of school. We congratulate them on this achievement. They celebrated their milestone with a dress up day and activities in the classroom.
This term we celebrate Children’s Book Week from Saturday 22 August to Friday 28 August. Students will have the opportunity to dress up for Book Week on Thursday 27th August.
Compass is coming!
We are going live with Compass as our new communication portal and app from Monday 17th August.
Parents will receive a login and instructions on how to set up a password.
While we enter the introductory phase of Compass there will be a crossover with Xuno. We will let parents know of actions that need to be taken, such as excursion permissions or payment requests and which platform to use.
We ask for your patience and understanding while we make the transition. Please understand that the while the initial transition may take a number of weeks, the full transition to Compass will take some time as we progressively roll out different modules over time.
Please keep an eye out for our upcoming communications relating to the introduction of Compass.
Warm regards,
Travis
