THANK YOU

Last week at assembly, I reminded students that this is an especially busy time of year and one in which so many people sacrifice their time, energy and resources to help provide extra special opportunities for our students.

As well as the many people still allocating their time to activities to provide extra opportunities for your children, there are so many families who have been in and around the school lately helping to prepare for Festival especially.

Thank you.

Your dedication to providing additional experiences for all children in the school does not go unnoticed. Staff have been amazed and raving about your tireless efforts all leading to the RNPS Family Festival: Saturday October 24.

I encourage all families to find a way to come along on the Festival day. Obviously, many students will be excited for the big attractions like rides and prizes, but there is a lot that the Festival Committee have planned that is Free or Low cost and designed for greater community connection and fun for the whole family. Our aim is to provide a wonderful, family experience that caters to a wide array of interests and is inclusive of our whole community. I have no doubt that you will have a great day in just 2 short weeks. Please, let your friends, family and neighbours know about it, too. The more, the merrier!

Great Achievements

A massive congratulations to the Finalists in our inaugural RNPS Public Speaking Competition.

Children from Years 3 to 6 had the option of participating in this extra-curricular activity and presented first in front of their year level and then were selected to move onto the Finals.

All the children spoke exceptionally well, engaging the audience of around 200 students with humour, interesting facts, passionate arguments and excellent public speaking skills. I was so proud to see them volunteering to take the chance and I have no doubt it will hold them in good stead as they move into the senior school or secondary.

Congratulations to our year level winners:

Year 3: Evie Harvey

Year 4: Max Dimbleby

Year 5: Mathilda Appleton and Laura Stocks

Year 6: Oscar Lee

We heard speeches that covered topics as diverse as: praise for bidets, the dangers of AI, the wonders of Australia, the dangers of inflation on the economy, the magic of lyrics and the amazing fauna of Australia.

Congratulations to all of our Finalists and thank you for having a go!
