TERM DATES 2026

*Please note that the last day for Terms 1, 2 & 3 will have a 2:30pm dismissal. 

*The last day for Term 4 will have a 1:30pm dismissal

The highlight of our term will be our Family Festival on Saturday October 24. This one will obviously already be in your calendar! Please keep your eyes peeled for volunteer opportunities to help make the event a huge success for our wonderful community. Our dedicated Festival Committee team has been hard at work behind the scenes.

There are two curriculum days (student-free days) on Friday October 30 and Monday November 2, which is followed by Melbourne Cup Day public holiday on Tuesday November 3. Grade 6 students will be on camp on one of these dates (30/10/26) so the curriculum day does not apply to them.

Our JSC will guide us through a Remembrance Day Service at around 10:30am on the morning of Wednesday November 11. 

On Saturday November 28, you can cast your vote at RNPS and grab a democracy sausage from our PFA crew and community volunteers at the State Election Day BBQ. This is another opportunity for families to lend a hand in a great community-focused PFA event.

There will be a two week swimming program run for Prep, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 5 from Monday November 30 - Friday December 11 (details to come via Compass) and Bike Education sessions on multiple dates in November for Years 3 - 6 which have already been communicated through Compass (please become familiar with these dates as students will need to BYO bike and helmet!). 

Our annual Carols on the Green Christmas concert is scheduled to run on the evening of Wednesday December 9. With Mrs Knoll working on this, it is set to be another highlight of the year! 

During the final two weeks of term, students will be supported through our 2027 transition sessions as follows:

Meet the 2027 teaching team - Friday December 11.

Meet your 2027 teacher/s - Tuesday December 15.

End of year picnic day and Grade 6 Big Day will be happening on Wednesday December 16. 

Your child’s final 2026 report will be published via Compass and their portfolio will come home to you on Tuesday December 15. 

Term 4 will conclude on Friday December 18 and students will be dismissed at 1:30pm on this day.

At RNPS we use a single calendar that you can view and syncs across multiple platforms. It also shows in Compass when you login. 

You can click on any event and add it to you calendar or if you use Google Calendar you can click the '+' logo in the bottom right and sync the whole calendar to your account. 

If you use other calendar accounts, the iCal address is below so you can add it those. There will be a number of events entered right up until the end of the year but events will only be entered once we have confirmed details. As a general rule, it will be reliably accurate about one month ahead with more things likely to be added for events further out. 

You can use the tabs in the top right of the calendar to change to a Weekly view that contains full details for events.
