Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe.

The care, safety and well-being of children and young people

It is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Dear Families,

Celebrating Our Faith & Community Achievements

Today, we observe the Feast of the Assumption. Yesterday, our students came together for a beautiful liturgy to mark this holy day of obligation—it was a wonderful opportunity for our community to gather in faith.

A huge congratulations to our Year 6 AFL 9s team, who finished as runners-up in the regional competition on Thursday! You represented St Louis with fantastic spirit and determination. A warm thank you to Mr Andrew and the parents who provided support and transport for the team.

Important Reminder: Adult Toilet Facilities & Child Safety

To ensure we maintain strict Child Safe Standards, parents and visitors must not use the student toilets while waiting for the school day to end. Students use these amenities right up until dismissal.

If you require bathroom facilities, please come to the main office foyer. Our office staff will gladly grant you access to the foyer restrooms. Thank you for your support in keeping our students safe.

School Uniform Standards

Wearing our school uniform with pride reflects our shared values and community identity. I kindly ask for all parents' support in ensuring students are dressed in the correct attire each day:

  • General Days: Full winter uniform is required on non-sport days. Options include long gabardine trousers, gabardine shorts, or the school tunic.
  • Sports Uniform: Sports shorts are reserved strictly for sports days. Please ensure sports shorts are an appropriate length (not hidden beneath oversized tops).
  • Polo Shirts: Please avoid purchasing oversized polo shirts so that students present a tidy and well-fitted appearance.

Thank you for partnering with us to instil pride in how our students represent St Louis.

Upcoming School Review

We are pleased to welcome our reviewer, Craig Tanner, who will be on-site on Monday, 17 August and Tuesday, 18 August. During his visit, Craig will meet with our leadership team, teachers, Learning Support Officers, Year 3–6 students, parents, and Fr. Michael.

A final comprehensive report will be shared with our school community in October. I am looking forward to this collaborative process and feel immensely proud of the achievements and progress we will be celebrating together!
