ANZAC Day 2026

  Local ANZAC Services

On the weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the Beaufort ANZAC Day service and march, beginning at the Beaufort RSL and concluding at the Cenotaph. It was a meaningful opportunity to honour and remember the sacrifices made by past and present soldiers who fought for a freer and safer country.

I was accompanied by BSC Sports Captain, Kita Cooper and fellow BSC students, Zairhet Tehmam and Phoenix Stewart, along with our Principal, Mr Schier. We had the privilege of laying a wreath on behalf of the school community, as a sign of respect and gratitude for the service and sacrifice of our servicemen and women.

Thank you to all the students who participated and paid their respects on this special occasion.

 - BSC School Captain, Annie Kehoe

BSC ANZAC Service

On Monday we held our annual ANZAC Service in the Drama Centre. The service, led by our school leaders, gave a sombre insight to the Great War and the devastation and hardship faced by our servicemen and women throughout. Students highlighted the need for us, as Australians, to continue to come together as a people to stand up and fight for our hard earned freedoms. The respectful and moving ceremony encouraged us all to continue to honour our fallen soldiers and the frontline personnel who cared for them.

Thanks to Year 10 student, Courtney Armeni, for her outstanding performance of our National Anthem and Year 12 student, Matilda Venes for her soulful and heartfelt rendition of Bruce Woodley's ' I Am Australian'.

We would also like to thank our official party; School Council President, Tanya Kehoe, former serviceman and Ripon-Beaufort RSL President, Don Carnes and Secretary Judy Beaton, along with our school leadership team.

LEST WE FORGET
