Careers Corner
Excursions are a powerful part of careers education. These experiences offer invaluable opportunities to explore real-world career pathways, connect with industry professionals, and gain practical insights beyond the classroom. As students begin to plan for life after school, such excursions can help inform their decisions and open doors to exciting future possibilities.
In Term 1, Years 11 and 12 students had the opportunity to attend the Future Skills and Career Expo run by the Local Employment Network. This expo connected young people with education, employment, and business representatives, to expand their career networks and explore pathway options.
Another highlight of the term was the Careers and Employment Expo at Melbourne Showgrounds. This Expo is designed to help students, job seekers, and career changers explore their future options. The expo brings together over 100–130 organisations, including universities, TAFEs, training providers, and employers, all in one place to provide advice and information about study pathways, apprenticeships, and job opportunities.
