Foundation Art: ✉️ Up, Up and Away 🎈

Thanks to lovely Heather who works in our canteen! She has given us most fabulous collection of postage stamps to upcycle into beautiful artworks. The children loved sorting through them - we found endangered animals, Olympics, the Queen, flowers, soldiers and mini works of art. Experimenting with collage techniques, the students used the stamps to create a hot air balloon artwork.

Did you know? In 1783, the first hot air balloon was in flight! While, a monkey was the first animal that went to outer space, a rooster, duck, and sheep were the first animals in flight on a hot air balloon!
