This week I have had the privilege of interviewing some new students for our ELC and School for the coming years.  I am so proud of our school and the conversations people are sharing.  It is a true joy to hear that families are seeking enrolment at our school because they have heard so many positive comments from friends or family!  Our Good Shepherd Community is something special and I am proud to be part of it as a parent, but especially as a leader - thank you for the contribution big or small that you make to our community. 

Last week we celebrated Harmony Week this celebration recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.​ 

Our cultural / orange casual day raised $500 for Australian Lutheran World Service. Find out what they do at https://www.alws.org.au/. 

At Good Shepherd we have 38 different languages represented in our school!

It is a blessing to be a part of a school that represents so many languages and cultures that can come together as one.

During Harmony week there were a variety of activities that the students participated in.

Thank you to our student leaders who prepared and ran these activities for students across the school - both the front office desk and waiting room windows share the work that the children completed during these times.

I am so looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night as we gather to enjoy a movie together - if the weather looks windy we will move inside to the Gym ... just remember to bring a blanket to stay warm.
