Welcome back Vicki!

We are excited to share that Mrs Vicki Thomas has returned to St Brigid's College as of Term 3! Vicki will be teaching English and Pastoral Care, and has some exciting plans for 2026...

"I first began teaching at St B’s in 2013, before taking a year of maternity leave in 2014 and returning in 2015. I left at the end of 2022 to take a break from teaching after what had been a few challenging years during and post Covid. I took a leap and joined the team at the Horsham Town Hall as part of Horsham Rural City Council at the end of 2022 and worked with the Gallery team to deliver the SPARK Arts Education Program. A short time later I was fortunate to take on the role of Coordinator Performance and Events. The role allowed me to develop leadership skills, strategic management and planning skills, and to work closely with a fantastic team of creative and passionate individuals. Getting to work with and meet some wonderful people in the Music and Arts Industries was also amazing.

The ‘itch’ (yes, that’s what I am calling it!) to return to St Brigid’s College came after I returned from an overseas trip this year. I was left inspired to re-enter a profession that leaves you fulfilled like no other role can. 

This semester I will be taking Year 7 English, Year 11 English, and Year 9 Pastoral Care, as well as stepping in as C2’s Teacher Advisor. I am also very excited to be coming back to lead the 2026 College Production, so watch this space!

 I look forward to seeing many familiar faces, meeting plenty of new ones, and enjoying being back in the best school I know."
