CAREERS/PATHWAYS & HEAD START

Celebrating Different Pathways to Success
We’re proud to celebrate three of our students who have come through the Head Start program have successfully transitioned into full-time apprenticeships over the school holidays.
Their achievements highlight an important message: every student’s pathway from school to work is different, and success doesn’t look the same for everyone.
Head Start is a program that supports students in years 10-12 to participate in a school-based apprenticeship and traineeship (SBAT) to develop skills, capabilities and confidence in a range of industries. SBAT students receive paid on-the-job training that contributes to their VCE, VCE Vocational Major or VPC and leads to a qualification.
If your student is keen to learn a trade or interested in starting work while completing their studies, we encourage you to consider the Head Start Program. To find out more, please contact our Head Start Co-ordinator, James Thompson to discuss further.
