Guest Speaker - Craig Hawkins
On June 15th, we welcomed Craig Hawkins from Creation Research to present to our students on his research into Creation, showing that real science always supports the Bible. Craig brought several thought-provoking items from his museum to educate our students about the wonders of God's creation. We thank Craig for visiting us and providing our students with this valuable experience.

Year 9 Community Service
Last week, our Year 9 students were busy making a positive contribution both within the school and the wider community as part of their Community Service program.
Students split into three groups to take part in a range of meaningful activities. One group completed the final session of the coffee-making course delivered by TAFE, developing valuable hospitality skills and gaining hands-on experience.
Another group remained at school, carrying out community service projects around the school grounds, helping to maintain and improve our learning environment.
The third group travelled to Hopkins Falls, where they worked alongside the local Landcare group to plant trees and contribute to environmental conservation efforts.
Students were fortunate to enjoy a beautiful, sunny and warm winter afternoon while taking part in these activities. It was wonderful to see our Year 9s developing new skills, giving back to the community, and caring for the environment.

Food Tech
Lots of fun in the Food Tech room this fortnight!
Year 7 students practised their apron bow-tying skills while helping their classmates at the same time – a great example of teamwork and support.
Year 8 students cooked a delicious carbonara, while our Year 9 and 10 students explored foods from around the world by preparing a traditional English breakfast.
It's been wonderful to see students developing their cooking skills, confidence, and independence in the kitchen while enjoying a range of cuisines from different cultures.
