Remembrance Day

CSPS Visits the Shrine

On Tuesday the 11th of November, the Drum Corps marched at the Remembrance Day service which took place at the shrine. It was a very interesting day learning all about different stories that took place during time of war. During the service cannons fired and bugles played to start and end the minute of silence. We also watched Governor Margaret Gardener go into the sanctuary and lay her wreath and also see the natural ray of light come through. Then Leni and I laid wreaths for the Children of metropolitan areas of Victoria and Children of Rural areas of Victoria. Afterwards we went inside the shrine to the sanctuary where we attended a small service honouring French soldiers. Finally we went into the shrine museum to see everything the shrine had to offer and teach.

I would like to thank Mr Hood for organising such an incredible event, we would not be here without you.

I was super proud to be able to represent CSPS at the 2025 remembrance day. On the 11th of November Caulfield South drum corps went to the shrine of remembrance to perform on remembrance day. Raphi.K and I had the honours to lay the reef on the stairs of the shrine. After performing we all went inside the Shrine museum to look at the history of World War 1. Everyone did an amazing job and enjoyed the day. Lest We Forget.
